Factors in Student Learning

1. What do you think are the major factors that assist students with learning? Feel free to mention any factors that are present in the classroom, the school community itself, or outside of school as you write your answer.
I think that the most important factors that assist students with learning are, on one hand, intrinsic and, on the other hand, extrinsic.
The intrinsic factors can be summed up in actitudes such as motivation, interest and capacity. These factors, even though they are inside the child, can be modify by the enviroment, so we cannot think that the child has all the responsability with this part of learning. For example, motivation can be raised, gotten down...so a child needs not only his or herself, but also an enviroment that provides examples and good feelings about learning.
The extrinsic factors are teachers, family, friends... People make the enviroment, and they also create influences that will make the bases of the place where the children will have the oportunity of interact, explore and learn (or maybe not). Family and friends can help children to study, they are an example to follow...so they will make a great influence on the way the children is involved in the process of learning.
Of course, teachers are very important, as they can choose they way their clasrooms will learn (work in teams, alone, readings, using computers...) and also they help students to learn better.

2.  What do you think are the major barriers that get in the way of student learning? Again, feel free to mention any factors that are present in the classroom, the school community itself, or outside of school as you write your answer.
I think one of the most barriers are the enviroment, but not the small one, the big one (economy, social habits...) is the one that can really stop a student. That is because is very difficult to learn if society is telling you not to do it, as it acts in people and they don´t realize about this.
It´s also important to mention teachers and school comunity, as students act in the comunity and with it as a reference. A teacher can encourage a student or not, their friends in the clasroom can colaborate in the procces of learning or not...In summary, people can stop a student just by not feeding back him or her,
or by not adjusting well their help or feed back.

3. What do you think an effective classroom looks like? What makes a classroom experience worthwhile and valuable?
I think work team is one of the most important things that creates a good classroom
experience.
This is because work team lets student to talk to each other, to think about their
thoughts before sharing them, to choose different ideas, to make a project with others...

Also, it lets the teacher to know better their students, as he or she can talk with them while they
are discussing in small groups, and also
it lets the teacher to adjust his or her help to them. When they know each others, they can create
is the best base for working alone, it will help students to be self confident in a future.
 valuable thing, and working together
In resume, sharing ideas makes a classroom experience valuable. I think before that, it´s good
to read, look...investigate about what students are going to talk about, choose an idea and then
sharing it, comparing it, transforming it...to make the idea their idea in order to learn better.
